He started his literary career by writing poems at the age of 15. From the age of 17 years he was a regular contributor to all Malayalam periodicals with pen-name Perunna N.R. He wrote short stories, literary essays, one-act plays. At present he writes articles on film techniques, management, and personality development.

His columns like Atmadarpanam in Chandrika Weekly and Manojalakam in Manorajyam Weekly were well received. Business Deepika carried his column on Management, Dhanasree Business Weekly carried column titled Cheriyankunjinte Business Chinthakal, and Career Kerala magazine carried column titled Impression Manaement.

Presently he writes regular columns in Patharam Fortnightly (Chayadarpanam), Voice of Wealth Magazine (Money Motive), Business Deepika (Motivation Management), and Upbhokthru Sabdam monthly (Consumer Psychology).

He also wrote plays for All India Radio, Trivandrum Station and dramas for professional troupes like Kavitha Theatres, Changanacherry and Ragamalika Theaters, Thiruvananthapuram. Many of his short plays had won prizes in various Amateur Drama Competitions.
